CFA Exam Pattern
Divided in 3 levels – Level 1, 2 and 3, which are tested at varied difficulty levels.
Level 1
Exam is MCQ type with 180 questions, conducted in the month of May, July, August, November. The exam is split into two sessions each of 135 minutes (total 270 minutes) with 95 questions to solve during each session.
Level 2
Exam is Descriptive plus MCQ type with 88 questions, conducted in the month of May, August, November. The exam is split into two sessions with a total duration of 4.5 hours.
Level 3
Exam is Descriptive with Case Studies.Total 11 case studies plus 44 MCQ’s are to be solved, conducted in the month of May, August, November. The exam is split into two sessions with a total duration of 4.5 hrs.
